This Council serves as advisors to the pastor in the administration of the parish’s financial resources. Members are appointed and are responsible for monitoring the parish budget, projected budget, review and publishing of the Annual Financial Report, and recommendation for increasing revenues. This committee is made up of active parishioners of the parish. The Holy Ghost Feast is a long-standing Portuguese tradition that lasts eight weeks after Easter Sunday. There is a procession and a feast that occurs on the eighth week. All parishioners are invited to attend and help. See the parish bulletin or the feast committee calendar for meeting times. This year's dominga list provides the names of the dominga families and the dates that the crown will be at their respective homes.

Holy Name Society

The Holy Name Society is a men's Confraternity of the Catholic Church which fosters reverence for the Name and Personal Divinity of Christ. The Holy Name Society also organizes the annual Communion Breakfast and participates in special liturgies. Membership is open to all men in the Parish. The society meets every first Wednesday of the month. If you are interested in joining, please attend their meetings.

Rosary Sodality

The Holy Rosary Sodality is the parish women's organization, dedicated to the Mother of God under her title Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. The sodality meets on the last Thursday of the month for recitation of the rosary with a meeting following. The Rosary Sodality women organize and conduct the annual Penny Social and operate the outside kitchen during our annual summer bazaar. If you are interested in joining please attend their meetings. Society of St. Vincent de Paul
This society is an international association of Catholic laymen engaging systematically in personal service of the poor and was founded in May, 1833, when eight young men, students at the Sorbonne, assembled in the office of the "Tribune Catholique" to formulate plans for the organization of a society whose object should be to minister to the wants of the Parisian poor.

The society's founder, Frederick Ozanam, following the inspiration of its chosen patron St. Vincent de Paul, modeled the rules upon the same principles that were in vogue in the seventeenth century. The rules adopted were very simple; it was forbidden to discuss politics or personal concerns at the meetings, and it was settled that the work should be the service of God in the persons of the poor, whom the members were to visit at their own dwellings and assist by every means in their power. The service of the members was to embrace, without distinction of creed or race, the poor, the sick, the infirm, and the unemployed.

Members of this society have been appointed by the pastor. This is a very vital organization dedicated to serving the poor and needy of the parish community since forming in 1999. Examples of the services provided include Christmas and Thanksgiving food baskets, clothing and assistance with utility bills. This group meets every second Wednesday of the month.
